Mia Serracino-Inglott
Singing & Piano
Hi, I’m Mia and I am a singing and early-grades piano teacher at Putney Music School. I grew up in Manchester and have been living in London for the past 5 years whilst studying at the Royal Academy of Music as a classical singer. Music has been my whole world from a young age, and as a teacher I hope to give my students the tools to expand their own creativity through music. Whether it be musical theatre or opera singing, jazz piano or baroque fugues, I am open to exploring every musical avenue with my students to find what really ignites that spark within them. I believe in building a strong technical foundation, however, even more important than this is nourishing musicality, confidence and performance skills. These tools will not only you help students achieve musical success but they will be transferable in different areas of life.
As well as teaching children, I often work as a leader for choirs and special needs groups. I am currently director of Harrow Road Community Choir and work regularly with the Wigmore Hall ‘Singing with Friends’ choir. I also spend a lot my time performing as a freelance singer and enjoy working in all areas of music!
