Who are we?
Putney Youth Choir is a 40 strong inclusive community of young singers aged 5-16. We work on our singing technique, learn about music theory, play games and work towards concerts and performances. Members have been accepted to the GB National Youth Choir, Royal Opera House Children’s Chorus, Sylvia Young Theatre School, and both Westminster School and St Paul’s School as choristers.
Leaders
The choir is led by Rhiannon Llewellyn, who has worked as a singer for Glyndebourne, the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Scottish Opera and sung as a soloist and choir member at most of the UK’s biggest venues.
What do we sing?
We sing music from different cultures and faiths, show tunes, classical music and lots more. We’ve currently working ‘Hail, Heavenly Queen’ from Sister Act, ‘How far I’ll go’ from the film Moana and lots of Christmas an Hannukah repertoire. In June we gave a sell-out performance of the musical ‘Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’.
